There’s no doubt that Ryan Christie has played numerous parts in Celtic’s history and yet again the Scotland international’s goal helped his side earn legendary status by winning a fourth consecutive treble, unbelievable.
However, Christie’s contract with the Scottish Champions will end around 2022 and the midfielder has not shown any signs of renewing his current deal.
This would mean that rumours will start to surface as to where Ryan Christie would end up next as the last few weeks have seen whispers on a transfer to English outfit Burnley.
Leicester City and Leeds United are the latest clubs that would love to sign the dynamic midfielder and Brendan Rodgers is rumoured to be ready to plan a reunion with Christie.
Marco Bielsa’s Leeds side are also desperate to add some quality to their very well oiled squad as Christie’s playing style would suit their own in the English Premier League.
The newcomers have been flying high and Christie would be a great signing but Celtic would need to keep a hold of him until the summer transfer window as we still have a fight on our hands in Scotland.
We all got our wish in the last window when the club managed to retain their top players, with all the rumours that certain players did indeed seek a move away from Scotland, maybe Celtic should sell in January and re-invest right away.
We will keep tabs on this story and see how it unfolds.
