Celtic will only attempt to sign Mohamed Elyounoussi from Southampton if the English club bring down their asking price as the Scottish champions plan for next season.

The energetic winger had some games last season that showed he is a player of high quality.

However, Elyounoussi had a dip in form as injuries cost him his place in Lennon’s first-team squad.

It only makes sense that Celtic will want a reduced fee for the player and with what’s happened in the world, most clubs will be spending less money than last season.

Reports from Football Insider have suggested that Lennon does want to sign Mohamed on a permanent basis but Southampton’s value is still too high.

The Norwegian doesn’t have a place at his official club so it wouldn’t surprise anyone if Lennon attempts another loan deal later in the Summer.
