Celtic have reportedly offered Hearts star Aaron Hickey a great deal to stay in Scotland and move to the Scottish Champions after the defender is set to reject other elite clubs to play under Neil Lennon.

Hickey is set to reject Serie A side Bologna, Bayern Munich and Lyon as Celtic have stepped up a gear in pursuing the young left-back by offering him a great deal to stay in Scotland and potentially win 10 in a row with Celtic. (source)

Hickey, who recently turned 18, has made 34 senior appearances for Hearts, including 22 last term in the Scottish Premiership.

However, the defender has now entered the final year of his contract at Tynecastle and looks certain to leave the club sooner rather than later.

Hickey did start his career with Celtic as a youth product and it would only make sense for the Scottish Champions to fight for their former player as the youngster has already secured 34 senior appearances for Hearts at the age of 18 years old, Hickey could further develop as a player and maybe challenge Greg Taylor for a place in Lennon’s squad on a regular basis.

The main selling points that Celtic have to put towards Hickey would be first team games infront of the largest crown he could ever play infront of and also winning trophies on a regular basis.

Also, playing in Europe would be a huge factor for the Hearts player and could be the ultimate deciding factor on where Hickey will be playing his football in the coming days or weeks.
