So the dreaded January transfer window for Scottish football has ended, and what do we all make of Celtic’s attempt to bolster the squad for the final half of the season.
Some Celtic fans will not be happy and feel the board have let us down once again and others will see it as smart business.
When you sit down and think about it, Celtic have had a fantastic window and made some really good instant impact signings and some for next season.
Remember the January window has always been hard to make quality signings as players don’t want to jump ship half way through a season and would rather wait until summer.
Celtic have signed three loan deals by bringing In Timothy Weah, Oliver Burke and Dortmund’s Toljan, who all in my mind are very smart signings as it means Celtic don’t take the hit if they don’t perform well, but also leaves some room for negotiations in the summer if we do want to try and lure them here on a permanent basis.
Also in this window Celtic have managed to sign four players in the form of Bayo, who looks a real threat and will do really well if he takes to our style of football, we have also signed Gutman, Shved and Perez, who will most likely be for next season as backups.
