Celtic were linked with Australian winger Martin Boyle last season and the 27 year old only has 12 months on his contract, could that spell a potential bid from Celtic as Lennon could land the winger on the cheap.
Boyle has admitted that he doesn’t yet know what will happen with Hibernian or his contract but the Australian wants to put his future to the back of his mind and focus on his current footballing commitments.
Many Celtic fans didn’t mind if the winger signed last January and some think of Boyle as a great move, but is Martin Boyle good enough to play a part in Celtic’s crucial ten in a row season, even on the cheap.
The Aussie had this to say to the media:
“Nothing will change and I’ll go out there and give everything for the club.
“It’s on going at the moment and I’m not completely sure. I’m just trying to put that at the back of my mind, let everyone else sort that and just get on with my football.
“I’ve been doing that every season and hopefully I can just keep putting performances in.”
Despite an injury hell over the last two years, Boyle has still been one of Hibernian’s top performers and even earned the Player of the Month accolade in December.
