Celtic have been fined a ridiculously pathetic amount of money for failing to control their fans in the club’s win over Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup.
The SFA have lowered themselves even more by issuing the £4,000 fine and it probably would have cost the Governing Body more to actually issue it.
The fine was based around the Celtic players surrounding the referee when a penalty was awarded to Thistle, there was nothing in the penalty decision and the Hoops players acted professional when contesting to the ref.
Celtic have already had to contend with a bizarre decision to suspend Ryan Christie this year. This won’t be the last run-in before the end of the season as the SFA ramp up their ode to idiocy.
