Celtic's New Star Poses Serious Threat To Next Opponents
Livingston boss Gary Holt has stated that his side are relishing playing against Celtic’s new star as the Lion’s gaffer points out new set-piece threat.
Over the last five games that Celtic have went toe to toe with Livingston, the Scottish Champions have failed to win four of them as Holt’s side have proved to be very tough opposition.
However that record doesn’t seem to fill Holt with much confidence at the moment and that’s because Celtic have emerged with a different threat this season, as Shane Duffy has taken Scottish Football by storm.
The Irishman has made it two goals out of two games so far since his move from English club Brighton and both were from set pieces.
Holt still has positive things to say about the Hoops:
“Celtic are a phenomenal side and they have now added a lot of good goals from set-plays as well as their intricate play.
“They have a lot of strength and height in their team so you are going to have to man up and get hurt at times.
“But we are relishing it, we are going there with a game plan to get something out of the game, and hopefully they will be tired.”
The Celtic support have been waiting along time for a Duffy kind of defender and so far the Ireland international hasn’t put a foot wrong in our eyes.
We sense that Shane Duffy and his threat from dead balls and set pieces will be the turning point this season and will get the squad out of a few jams along the way.
