Celtic crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers last night at the hands of the Hungarian champions and Neil Lennon told the press post match that if players don’t want to be here then they could leave, we understand that Kristoffer Ajer seems to be the first to make ripples.
The Norwegian and his newly acquired agent have previously made it known to the club and fans that Ajer wants a big league move.
Celtic have already rejected two offers from AC Milan during the summer and now it looks as though Ajer’s agent wants to take Lennon up on his offer and haggle his player a move away from the 9 in a row winners.
This could answer some of the questions regarding Lennon’s hasty words last night and maybe he has been dealing with a few players who feel they are better than the club, if indeed that’s the case then it could be the reason why Lennon wants a high profile player such as Shane Duffy brought in.
The board have refused to give any figure to the value that they deem acceptable for Ajer to leave Celtic and this could be smart business as it could attract some no nonsense higher offers.
There are definitely problems within the squad and it could all be forgotten within a few weeks if Lennon gets a few key in and outgoings correct.
