Celtic's Quick Fix McGeady
Neil Lennon wants a ready made first team player in the door before deadline day, could former Celtic player Aiden McGeady be that man.
Celtic are running out of time in this transfer window and Neil Lennon has hoped to bring in a few more faces but there’s one Bhoy who knows the club and Scottish football and would maybe be the quick fix the Hoops need for the title push, Aiden McGeady could be that player even at the age of 33 years old.
Aiden McGeady is currently persona non grata at Sunderland following a fall out with manager Phil Parkinson.
He has 18 months on his contract and he has been told in no uncertain terms that he needs to be finding himself a new club.
Would a short term deal suit both parties?
The winger has been exiled by Parkinson, and is training with the Black Cats’ under-23 side having been told he is free to find a new club during the winter window.
We know many Celtic fans won’t want McGeady to come back probably more so as he’s now a 33 year old, but for 6 months he could provide crucial cover and vital knowledge of the game that could help the Hoops retain their ninth league title in a row, that would be priceless.
