Celtic’s transfer policy over the last decade seems to be waiting for EPL club’s to buy up most of the young talent for obscene amounts of money, then swoop in with an offer when the player doesn’t get a look in.

Now it seems that Celtic are trying to sign Ryan Sessegnon on loan from Tottenham as the versatile left sided player won’t feature in Jose Mourinho’s plan in the coming season and the former Chelsea gaffer has said a loan move would be the only choice.

Spurs had signed Sessegnon from Fulham for a crazy £24m and Celtic have the provan track record of transforming stars who come to the club via the loan route.

If Lennon can manage to get a loan deal for this kind of player then what a signing Sessegnon would be as the left sided player can play as a few roles including wing back, left back and also winger if needed.

The Spurs player has considerable qualities that Celtic can further develop and Lennon does know how to bring out the best in a player.

We will just have to keep an eye out on this rumour and hopefully can get a deal done.
