Celtic's Super Swede Target Hands In Request!
Sebastian Andersson has handed in a transfer request to Union Berlin as the Celtic target wishes to secure a move away from the Bundesliga side.
The striker was left out of Union Berlin’s 1-0 win over Karlsruher SC at the weekend and many have speculated that Andersson has already been talking to various clubs including the Scottish Champions as Celtic have been consistently linked with him for the last few months.
The German club’s coach Urs Fischer has told the media that Andersson was left out of their win due to the player handing in a transfer request.
The media has also indicated that Celtic are still keen on signing the striker but there are also various clubs in England who are linked and its hard to guess which of these teams have had talks with Andersson and made him force a move.
With Neil Lennon already having signed Albian Ajeti and using Klimala, it seems unlikely it would be Celtic that are ready to sign the striker unless there has been negative developments regarding the future of Leigh Griffiths or worse, Edouard.
Lennon’s main focus just now in the market should be a left back as Bolingoli’s departure was confirmed days ago, with only Greg Taylor left as our only left sided defender, that area should be top priority.
