Celtic have had many top level goalies and it could be hard to choose a winner as the best we have ever had.

We suppose your winner will depend on your generation, so we have tried to give you a choice that will best suite you and if there are any that we have missed then please feel free to comment on a few that should have made our list.

Remember and Tweet your winner and tag us, we might retweet it.

All you have to do is go through the duels, selecting your ‘winner’ from each match up. That winner continues into the next duel, to be pitted against a new keeper. If he’s still your winner, select again. If not, choose the other person in the duel.

It’s as easy as that, so go on and here is our first duel so choose wisely.

Rab Douglas

Whether or not Rab Douglas deserves his place in a list of the best ever Celtic goalkeepers depends on who you talk to.

88 clean sheets in 161 appearances speaks for itself.

Ronnie Simpson

He was the man between the posts in Lisbon for the most famous victory in Celtic’s history back in 1967 and on that alone Ronnie Simpson deserves a mention on this list.

Fraser Forster

Standing at nearly 6ft 6”, Forster has quite literally been a giant for Celtic over five years split into two separate stints.

Jonathan Gould

Signed by Wim Jansen from Bradford City for the start of the 1997/98 season, Jonathan Gould went on to make 152 appearances over six years for Celtic.

John Thomson

Killed at the age of just 22, Thomson is still talked about as one of the best goalkeepers to have ever played for Celtic, although such discussions are always tinged with sadness and regret over what he could have become.

Craig Gordon

Gordon has contributed to one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.

Packie Bonner

A true Celtic legend, Packie Bonner registered more clean sheets (254) than any Hoops goalkeeper in history.

Artur Boruc

The Holy Goalie

Signed from Legia Warsaw in 2005 after a failed attempt to sign Antii Niemi, Boruc quickly became an indispensable figure for Celtic.
