Benjamin Siegrist has become a shock scouting target for Celtic as confirmed by Jim Spence, the Dundee United keeper has been impressing the Scottish Champions with his recent performances.

The Dundee man can be taken seriously as he confirms that the Scottish Champions had scouted Benjamin Siegrist at the weekend.

The 28 year old has been very impressive with Dundee United this season and standing at 6ft5in he could prove a decent 3rd choice goalkeeper who could one day get his shot at cementing his place in Neil Lennon’s first team similar to what Scott Bain did under Brendan Rodgers.

I’ve always said that a club like Celtic who are competing on all fronts domestically and in Europe should always have three very strong goalies in their squad.

Neil Lennon does still have the services of Conor Hazard but this would be a good chance for Hazard to go out on loan in January yet again and get constant first team experience.
