Former Rangers captain Ferguson heaps praise on Celtic’s latest signing Jullien and in reality its just through fear as at the start of the season Rangers for some strange reason were favourites to topple Champions Celtic, obviously we aren’t buying his false praise.
Barry Ferguson has praised Celtic’s improving defence after they secured yet another clean sheet over the weekend when they beat Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership.
The former Rangers midfielder also stated that every time he watches centre-back Christopher Jullien play he thinks that he’s going to be a ‘massive player’ for the club.
Both Jullien and Celtic will be preparing for a tough opening Europa League encounter against Ligue 1 side Rennes on Thursday evening.
The Bhoys currently hold a three-point lead over their Old Firm rivals in the Premiership table and they will be hoping to take their recent good form into Europe.
Later on in the competition, Celtic will take on CFR Cluj, the team who ended their Champions League hopes, as Neil Lennon will no doubt want to prove that his players have learnt from that encounter.
Celtic have secured three clean sheets since that game, as their backline is now becoming more used to one another, and added with more training ground work, they are proving their worth.
