Jeremy Toljan will return to Italian side Sassuolo on loan next season as the Celtic flop impressed since joining from Borussia Dortmund.
The German defender spent 6 months in Glasgow with Celtic and didn’t manage to win a permanent move and was sent back to the German giants.
The defender came to Celtic with a good reputation and many fans thought he was the answer to our defensive worries, sadly it was a loan move that we wouldn’t bring up in conversation.
However, there seems to be a happy ending on the horizon for Jeremy as he has agreed to return to Sassuolo on loan this year and most importantly there is a 5 million Euro clause inserted if the Italians wish to make it a permanent move.
As reported by German Media , it looks like they are confident Sassuolo will activate the buy clause and make him a first team player.
When Neil Lennon took over at Celtic for a second time it was obvious the gaffer would prefer to go with his comfort choice that is Lustig and that was the correct decision.
