Celtic fans weren’t happy with what Brendan Rodgers had to say prior to Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final, after he gave an interview to broadcaster Premier Sports.
The channel aired a half hour programme quizzing the former Hoops boss on his exit from the club and the reaction it has garnered from supporters.
He talked in the usual glowing terms about his former side, stating one day he would like to go back and manage the club.
It didn’t exactly provoke a friendly reaction from Hoops supporters though, many of whom have still not forgiven the Leicester boss for the manner in which he walked out of Celtic Park to move to the English Premier League.
It’ll likely be a long time, if ever, before he is accepted by the majority of the Celtic support again given the betrayal they feel occurred when he left mid-season with almost no notice.
