Lionel Messi has just broken a world record for the most goals scored with one single club, the Barcelona star has even bypassed the legendary Pele.
Messi recently scored his 644th goal for FC Barcelona, breaking Pele’s record of 643 goals for Santos. No other player has scored more goals for a single club and Budweiser have decided to celebrate this achievement by sending each goalie that conceded to Messi a special commemorative bottle.
The Argentine has scored 8 times in just 6 appearances against the Hoops. And four different keepers have had to pick the ball out from the back of the net on those occasions. For their efforts, they can at least expect gifts from Budweiser.
This means that Dorus De Vries will receive three bottles for the hattrick that he conceded back in 2016. While both Artur Boruc and Craig Gordon will receive two each. And Fraser Forster will receive one bottle.
Celtic and Barcelona have managed to play each other on many occasions and Messi is truly one of the best players to ever grace the pitch of Parkhead, at least those former keepers will have a piece of history sent to their doors.
