Stefan Bienkowski has thrown out claims that Bayer Leverkusen are ready to make a bid for the Klan’s top failure Alfredo Morelos.
The BBC staff member who has knowledge as he regularly wrote a column on German football for the New York Times, Stefan has insisted that the German club are not interested in the Sevco striker as they already have plans to sign Patrik Schick from Italian giants Roma.
However, he does state that the Germans are waiting to see if they can hold on to their second striker Lucas Alario but insists that Morelos hasn’t came up as a replacement.
The article that Bienkowski was rubbishing was from a well known Colombian media outlet, we can’t read into any rumours regarding Morelos as the Klan have been attempting to sell the Colombian doughboy for the last two seasons and failed.
If nobody wanted Morelos when he actually was scoring goals then there’s no chance Sevco can expect to sell him for big money now that he’s overweight and on poor form.
The only way Morelos will be sold is at a reduced fee and that would kill Sevco as they have already signed his replacements in the form of Roofe and Itten.
As soon as the article became known the usual suspects were the first to publish the good news to the Klanbase, the Sun and Record released their own reports as did the BBC.
There is no chance that the BBC will make the public aware of one of their own staff member’s findings on this rumour.
