Neil Lennon has confirmed that Chris Jullien will make a return to the Celtic fold after the international break, this will be a much needed boost to the Hoops defense.
The big French colossal has been injured for sometime now and many fans wanted Shane Duffy to take his place as they bemoaned the fact that Jullien has lost his physical presence after a weak performance against Kilmarnock.
However, since the departure of Chris Jullien and the insertion of Shane Duffy, Celtic have went on a severe bad run of form and have been bleeding goals, mostly coming from the defense area.
Now, we aren’t stating that Shane Duffy is at fault for all the conceded goals, but he’s at fault for a decent amount of them as he has been brought in to do a specific role, and is currently failing.
The Frenchman was a vital part of our defense last season and we all know he’s capable of contributing with his physical strength and even goals.
We can only think of a handful of games that Jullien actually gave a weak performance, fans need to think back to the majority of games that Jullien was a beast in that box, he’s a key player for a reason.
Neil Lennon said:
“Christopher Jullien will resume training soon, hopefully he’ll be back in contention after the international break.” Lennon told CelticTV.
We all wanted Neil Lennon to play the 3-5-2 formation and that’s the reason the problems started, maybe we should stick with how we are now as these players might not be able to play with such a tactic.
