Gerrard Faces Celtic Dilemma
Celtic could punish Rangers even more this coming Sunday as Steven Gerrard has revealed that three of his key players are struggling to make it back for the Glasgow Derby.
Gerrard has stated that in the last 24 hrs he’s seen his key trio of Tavernier, Defoe and Ryan Kent all looking doubtful for Thursday’s Europa clash with Bayer Leverkusen.
[Jermain] Defoe is definitely out. There’s a chance for [Ryan] Jack and Tav.
Jacko is with us – he got off the bus last night and had an issue with his knee. Tav tried to train on Saturday on an injury that he came off the pitch with and he made it worse. So he is probably a bigger doubt than Jacko.
The negatives are in the last 24 hours – we have lost Defoe, Tavernier, Jack.

This match on Thursday could very well be the biggest blow to Gerrard’s season and potentially see him being sacked if Lennon’s Bhoys managed to humiliate them on their home turf days later.
However, Celtic will have plenty of options and Lennon will have nearly a full house of players to choose from.
The Hoops fans will be praying that the gaffer sticks to his 3-5-2 formation and unleashes Edouard and Griffiths together at Ibrox.
