Gerrard Losing His Name Appeal As Belgians Reject Striker Deal

Steven Gerrard has lost out on top target Kemar Roofe as Rangers have had their season loan bid rejected by the Anderlecht bosses, could this be panic stations over at Ibrox as their main striking threat Morelos could be set to leave this season.

There’s no doubt about it, alarm bells are ringing in Gerrard’s head at the moment as he could be set to lose his only main goal threat in the new season as Morelos will most likely be sold and Rangers are scrambling to find any club willing to accept low cost deals.

Kemar Roofe joined the Belgians a year ago from Leeds United in a £5 million deal and the striker hasn’t exactly turned any heads since his arrival.

The season wasn’t played to a complete end in Belgium but Roofe only managed to score 6 goals, not exactly a target we should be worrying about.

And even if Rangers manage to sign another striker and still retain Morelos, it would only mean one more player that will be set up for instant failure, could Gerrard be losing his name appeal.
