Celtic’s January transfer window planning has gotten off to a blazing start. The early relocation will allow Alistair Johnston and Yuki Kobayashi to acclimate to their new surroundings and teammates prior to the resumption of the club season.

It seems that Celtic have no intention of stopping here, especially considering that Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis are said to be leaving the club in January after failing to agree on new contracts.

Mohamed Magdy, often known by his nickname Afsha, now plays for Al Ahly and has been linked to Celtic on many occasions in the past.

According to Football Scotland, Celtic have contacted Afsha’s agents about a possible transfer for the Egyptian star.

Afsha is a versatile attacking midfielder who can also play on the flanks. Obviously, his adaptability makes him a valued member of whatever squad he joins.

He is an official member of the Egyptian national team and, at age 26, is in the midst of his peak as a player. Therefore, this would be an excellent opportunity to sign him.

The fact that Celtic have been connected to Afsha on several occasions in the past suggests that the club has been monitoring his growth as a player for some time, and they must be pleased with what they have seen.

Recent rumours emanating from Egypt indicated that Al Ahly will want a transfer price of about €5 million to part with their best player, Afsha. That would be a substantial cost for Celtic to pay, particularly given that other positions also need reinforcements.
