Serie A giants are set to step up a gear in their pursuit for Celtic’s Kris Ajer as the Hoops star has been constantly linked with Milan for the past year.
The San Siro heavyweights are reportedly set on making a bid for the Norwegian defender that’s thought to be in the range of £20 million.
Ajer who is now represented by Dutch mob SEG is set to have a big decision to make regarding his future in Glasgow as leaving Celtic and missing out on 10 in a row might be the biggest mistake of his career as a move away from the Champions doesn’t always mean success.
There will no doubt be a vast amount of offers coming in for Ajer but Lennon doesn’t need to sell if he feels Ajer will be needed, but the board will be the deciding factor is the fee is rather large.
Sky Italia claim the German is also keen on 20-year-old Brescia midfield sensation Sandro Tonali as well as Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic as part of a £70m statement of intent.
Celtic are in no rush to sell a player they have developed since he arrived as a teenager from Start back in 2016. (source)

Is Ajer Needed ?

Not at all, it would be great to keep him but his mind already seemed to be made up mid way through last season when his former agent made his views public knowledge.
Ajer is a great defender and of course Lennon would miss his ability, but there are other choices out there that can easily be purchased for the £5 million mark.
