Celtic winger Mikey Johnston looks set to be out on the sidelines for a lengthy spell as he came off injured at the latter stages of Celtic’s impressive 3-0 win against St Johnstone on Wednesday night.

Johnston limped off as Lennon’s Bhoys were cruising to an easy three points but the young Scottish midfielder left the Hoops with only ten men on the park for the closing stages of the match, luckily Celtic managed to keep a clean sheet.

Neil Lennon confirmed that Johnston will indeed be out the squad for a while as he wasn’t fully fit to begin with.

There seems to be an issue between both Lennon and Johnston as the Celtic manager was more annoyed at the fact Mikey had the chance to come off and wanted to play on.

Lennon must have felt that Johnston would shake it off and make it to the end of the match, many Celtic fans took to Twitter to express their feelings on the situation.
