Jullien Backs "12th Man" Will Defeat Copenhagen In Glasgow
Celtic’s French defender Christopher Jullien admits that the Scottish Champions have a huge advantage tomorrow night as the Hoops host Copenhagen in their Euro return leg.
Neil Lennon’s Bhoys will look to match Glasgow rivals Rangers and book their place in the last 16 of the Europa League tomorrow night.
The Hoops have crashed out at the same stage the previous three times but the only difference being is they have been all away from home.
Could this be the time that Celtic finally make it past the last 32 stage of the Europa League with an advantage at Celtic Park.
Jullien reckons this advantage will be vital and that Celtic themselves will have the final say against Copenhagen.
“It’s huge,” he said when asked whether playing at home second was an advantage. (Celtic official YouTube channel)
“That stadium is something else.
“The atmosphere has been crazy since I arrived here. The fans have been incredible in every game we’ve had.
“I’m sure we’re gonna have, simply, a 12th man on the field.”
Celtic Park will Be Rocking
Having the Hoops support roaring the team on is likely to be a big boost.
However, home supports can work both ways. Copenhagen are likely to try and quieten down the raucous atmosphere by starting well and nullifying our attacking intent.
We’ve found out in our earlier tie against Cluj how important the first goal can be on nights like that.
