Steven Gerrard’s latest comments regarding his squad’s overconfidence could be early signs that the Sevco manager doesn’t have complete faith in his team.

The serial losers will come to Parkhead on Saturday and face Neil Lennon’s Champions for the first-time this season.

With Sevco 1 point clear at the top of the table, Celtic must win to return to the pinnacle of the Scottish Premier League.

With Lennon’s Hoops also having a game in hand its vital that Celtic put in a top level shift against the Klan.

The Sevco boss spoke with the media:

“We want the players to go to Celtic Park with belief and confidence but we don’t want them going there overconfident just on the back of last year.

“We know it’s going to be a tough challenge and we need to find a top-level performance if we are to have any hopes of taking the three points.”

Celtic must go into this match bursting with energy as Rangers are due a gubbing this season, the manky mob haven’t really been tested and when they faced a good Hibernian side, points were dropped.

If Celtic play to the level that we know they can, it could be goals galore at Parkhead on Saturday.
