Following Kilmarnock’s relegation to the Championship, Kris Boyd has completely demolished Kyle Lafferty.

Boyd claimed in The Sun that he has spent more time in the bath than his old Ibrox team-mate had with the Ayrshire club.

Lafferty joined Killie in February after being released by another club, and despite scoring nine goals in the SPFL, his sole contribution in the Play Offs was a penalty kick when Dundee led 4-1 on aggregate.

It’s unusual for two former Ibrox players to publicly criticise one other, but things weren’t always sweet and light under Walter Smith, despite the fact that most of the players benefited from disguised payments stowed in off-shore accounts.

Boyd switched his focus to Lafferty after crushing Youssouf Mulumbu in The Sun:

Which brings me to supporters turning up outside Rugby Park after Monday night’s game to demonstrate.

It sums up the mentality of some that Kyle Lafferty was lauded as a hero for addressing the fans afterwards and guys like Gary Dicker and Kirk Broadfoot were getting slated on social media.

I have spent longer in the bath than big Kyle has been at the club, so don’t turn round and say he is the only one that gets it.

Yes, he has scored a few goals since coming in near the end of the season but where did he disappear to for those last three games?
