Stiliyan Petrov has hailed Henrik Larsson as the best striker he has played with and miles above Bulgaria legend Dimitar Berbatov.

The former Celtic and Bulgaria star has respect for both his former teammates but if he had to choose one as his ultimate choice, it would be Celtic legend, Henrik Larsson.

The former Celtic midfielder was very fortunate to play with a very good Celtic squad but also on a national level as Dimitar Berbatov will be regarded as one of Bulgaria’s best strikers of all-time.

However, as Celtic fans, we know that Henrik Larsson was a far superior specimen of a footballer and Petrov admits that there were no flaws in the super Swede’s game.

The ex-Celtic star speaks on the Michael Anthony Show:

“He’s just gifted, he was class to watch, that’s something that separates him from some other strikers.

“It was a pleasure to share a dressing room with him as a team-mate. It was good when we played together, I loved it, but when we played against each other I wanted to kick him.”

But on which of the two legendary strikers was better, Petrov answered: “Oh, it has to be Henrik Larsson. Of course.

“They’re both great players, but if I have to pick one it would be Henrik Larsson.

“He was a complete player. I mean, with Berba you can have a lot of questions about some parts of his game.

“But about Henrik, you don’t have any questions about this man.”

Both players have earned their place in Celtic’s history books as Larsson and Petrov were apart of the club’s UEFA cup final squad.

Henrik Larsson proved that he was a world-class player not just with Celtic but also at Man United and Barcelona.
