Latest: Brighton keen on signing ‘hugely promising’ Celtic talent
According to Football Insider, ‘hugely promising’ Celtic youngster Ronan Ferns is subject to interest from Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Seagulls are said to be amongst several clubs who have scouted the 16-year-old and are now said to be ‘keeping very close tabs’ on him between now and the summer.
Ferns is predominantly a central defender, though can also operate in midfield and he has been impressive at youth level for both Celtic and Scotland, respectively.
The report also states that Leeds United and Aston Villa are keen on poaching highly-rated starlet Aidan Borland, who is regarded as a top prospect within circles at Parkhead.
In recent years, the likes of Ben Doak, Leo Hjelde, Vincent Angelini, Liam Hughes and Armstrong Oko-Flex have all featured in youth sides for Celtic before deciding to move south of the border to chase their career aspirations.
Hopefully, Celtic can stave off interest from the Premier League and beyond to keep hold of their most talented youngsters moving forward.
