Latest: Celtic January signing earns international call-up
Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu has earned a call-up to the South Korea international squad for their forthcoming friendly matches, as reported by The Daily Record.
The 21-year-old has made nine appearances so far for the Hoops since completing a £2.5 million move to the Glasgow giants in January and has managed two goals so far, both coming against St Mirren.
South Korea recently appointed Tottenham Hotspur icon Jurgen Klinsmann as their new head coach and the German has seen enough of Oh to include him in his first squad in charge.
The Reds face high-profile opposition over the course of the break, taking on South American sides Colombia and Uruguay in the space of four days.
Oh will rub shoulders with the likes of Spurs star Son Heung-min and Napoli defender Kim Min-jae during the international period, while former Celtic target Cho Gue-sung has also been selected in Klinsmann’s squad for the double header.
