Neil Lennon states that Celtic star Kristoffer Ajer is going nowhere as the manager dismisses his agent’s comments earlier in the week.

The Hoops gaffer has blasted Tore Pedersen and insisted that Celtic have tied Ajer down on a long contract still left to run so he will not be going anywhere unless the club say so.

“I’ve heard about the comments and I’m aware of it.

“At the end of the day, the club will decide when players go, not agents or players themselves.

“Kris has never made any indication he wants to leave. He’s happy here, he has been playing very well, he has been very consistent.

“I think the agent has shot himself in the foot. We have Kris tied down to a long-term contract, so we’ll decide and not anyone else.

“There hasn’t been any interest in him that I’m aware of, certainly no-one has called me about him.”

It was a bizarre move by the Norwegian’s agent as Celtic are the ones who would decide if his player moves on.

Clearly Pedersen has been whispering in Ajer’s ear and promising him big money if he forces a transfer.

The good thing is that Ajer himself hasn’t said a bad word about the Hoops and has stated numerous times he is happy here in Glasgow.
