Neil Lennon has confirmed that Odsonne Edouard will not make an appearance this weekend as Celtic are set to take on Motherwell on Sunday.

The Frenchman missed Celtic’s match against the Hungarian Champions during the week as the Scottish Champions crashed out of the Champions League qualifiers.

Lennon has confirmed that Edouard will also miss this Sunday’s tie against Motherwell but hopes he will be ready to face Ross County next week.

The Hoops manager will have a huge decision to make regarding who he will choose to play in the striking role, will Lennon once again trust Christie as the midfielder did score a goal and create a vast amount of chances or will Lennon actually place his trust in his other strikers as both Klimala and Ajeti could get the job done.

We understand Ajeti not getting the nod to start but Klimala has worked his socks off and we know for a fact he’s fit enough to play as the Polish striker worked hard during lockdown and pre-season.

If Klimala isn’t trusted yet again then Lennon will have to address why the striker is behind a midfielder for a starting role.
