Celtic fans could see new signing Diego Laxalt feature against Rangers this coming Saturday as Neil Lennon gives a positive update on the new star.
With Celtic already without Odsonne Edouard, Nir Bitton and Hatem Elhamed as they are set to miss the game after testing positive on international duty.
To add more to our problems, Ryan Christie could also be set to miss the tie due to being in close contact with Stuart Armstrong while being on Scotland duty also.
James Forrest was already confirmed to have been out with a fractured ankle. Albian Ajeti is in a race against time to get fit before Saturday.
The Celtic fans will also be hoping that Leigh Griffiths can play some part in this match as he could easily score against Sevco and get his season back on track, the problem with all these players would be fitness related as most of them have only made a few appearances.
Neil Lennon has been highly impressed with Diego Laxalt since the player joined on a season loan from AC Milan.
The wing-back’s English isn’t that good but fellow team-mate Ntcham has been confirmed by Neil Lennon as his main port of call as the Frenchman has been able to communicate with Laxalt.
“With Diego for example, his English isn’t great at the minute, so Olivier will be very important to him. You can even see them talking to each other at training, with Olivier helping to explain to him what the drills are and what the premise of the session is.
“Diego is a good footballer, he settles into that and sees things very quickly.”
There’s no doubt that Diego Laxalt has good ability as a footballer as Milan don’t take chances on duds.
Neil Lennon and Celtic have that unique ability of bringing the best out of players and hopefully Laxalt is one of them.
