Neil Lennon has saluted the performance of new Bhoy Albian Ajeti as the striker scored his 5th Celtic goal against Hibernian, but the Hoops manager also states that he will miss their game against Sarajevo.

The Swiss striker was making fantastic progress on his path to full match fitness as Ajeti earned a start against a tough Hibernian side.

The former West Ham player managed to score his fifth goal of the season so far for the Scottish Champions as Albian Ajeti netted Celtic’s second goal as the Hoops defeated Hibs 3-0 at Parkhead.

However, that goal came with a price as the striker was taken off shortly after the goal as Ajeti pulled his hamstring.

This could prove bad news for Celtic as Neil Lennon has said that the striker will miss Celtic’s Euro tie against Sarajevo on Thursday.

Lennon said:

“Albian looks like he’s tweaked a hamstring so we’re hoping it will only be one or two weeks.

“But he’ll not play on Thursday which is a blow because he’s in brilliant goalscoring form.

Hopefully the injury isn’t too bad and maybe Ajeti could be back next week as Celtic badly need all our strikers fighting fit.
