Celtic have targeted Shon Weissman to replace top striker Edouard should the Frenchman leave this Summer, but Neil Lennon is confident all his top stars will be here for 10 in a row.

The Israeli goal machine has an impressive record this season with Austrian club Wolfsberger AC, with Weissman scoring 29 goals in 30 appearances.

However, Neil Lennon has stated that Odsonne Edouard hasn’t said anything to him about wanting to leave and hopes he’ll be here for ten in a row.

The Celtic boss said: “It is inevitable there will be speculation surrounding Odsonne because of the player and talent he is.

“He hasn’t said anything to me about wanting to go.

“Whether that changes over the next while, we don’t know. But we have him on a really good contract and we are in a strong position to rebuff any interest in him.

“We don’t want to sell him.

“We are happy with him and he seems quite happy here. We are going for ten in a row and that might be a big motivating factor for him to stay.”

Lennon works very closely with all his players and if he’s confident then we all should be, although money does talk in the football world.

Its great to see Celtic going for a potential striker who has a fantastic scoring record and plays in a league similar to Scotland.

We all want Edouard to stay and we are hopeful the Celtic board stump up the cash to retain his services for one more season.
