Neil Lennon wants to add a few more players to Celtic’s squad and the Hoops manager knows exactly what type of players he wants to bring in as the squad is lacking in physicality and some more experienced players.

The Scottish Champions have already signed Polish striker Klimala for a reported £3.4 million and the Bhoys have already wrapped up a £2 million deal for Ivorian Ismaila Soro (pending medical), Celtic seemed to have been a bit spooked by the defeat from Rangers at Christmas time, that defeat looks to be some saving grace for Celtic fans as the Celtic board are set to spend some money this month.

Last season we didn’t have a good window at all, we signed Burke and Weah on loan and some extra players who never took part in the rest of the campaign, thankfully it worked out and Lennon got us over the line with a third treble in a row.

Now, the Hoops gaffer wants some ready made players who can instantly slot into the first team when needed, that may suggest that Celtic are looking for another high profile loan deal to bolster the squad, similar to Elyounoussi who Celtic couldn’t buy in normal circumstances.

The manager said: “It [experience] could help. In the last game we looked like we lacked a little bit of nous and experience, a little bit of physicality, so they are areas we’re looking at to bring in.

“What we are looking for is to add one or two, like an Elyounoussi type, who are ready to come in and play straight away with a bit more experience and more physicality.

“But we’ve got good experience. We were in this position this time last year as well, which will stand them in good stead going forward.”
