Celtic boss Neil Lennon gives Hoops fans a somewhat worrying update on talented winger Marian Shved.
Shved signed for the Champions last January just before former Manager Brendan Rodgers departed from the club out the back door.
The Ukrainian never got much game time last season as Lennon was trying to stabilize the club and retain a third domestic treble in a row.
Since then his progress at the club has been slow with Lennon utilising him just twice this season, both appearances coming from the bench.
The manager said: “He’s found it difficult, he struggles with the English and in training at times he’s not at the level the rest of them are.
“He’s still a very talented player, but he’s still taking a bit more time to adapt and acclimatise than maybe some others would.”
Shved seems to be taking longer than any Celtic player we can remember to settle in to the club and country.
The worrying thing will be that Shved isn’t even “training” ready never mind match ready, this will surely mean that the lightning quick winger might not have a place in Lennon’s squad this season.
Marian might have to wait until the summer to see if he’s ready for Celtic or his fate might be decided in a loan deal.
