MK Dons midfielder Matt O’Riley is expected to complete a move to Celtic, with a medical expected after the clubs agreed a fee of £1.5 million for his services.

Making an excellent impact in Buckinghamshire this campaign, the 21-year-old has registered 13 goal contributions in 30 appearances; seven goals and six assists.

Now, he looks set for a move north of the border to join Ange Postecoglou at Parkhead.

Celtic and MK Dons have agreed a fee of £1.5 million for the former Fulham man, beating the likes of Swansea City and Blackburn Rovers to his signature.

Should everything go to plan, the youngster could arrive in Glasgow well ahead of time for the Hoops’ away trip in the Scottish Cup at Alloa Athletic this Saturday.

O’Riley is currently at the centre of an international tug-of-war, with the English-born man also eligible for Denmark. The Danish FA have been in contact with him about the possibility of declaring for the UEFA EURO 2021 semi-finalists.

He will become the fifth signing of the January window once the deal is tied up by both respective parties.
