Newcastle Identify Celtic Star As Top Target
Newcastle have identified Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard as their top transfer target as Steve Bruce wants the Frenchman to lead his attacking line at the Toons.
According to the media, Bruce has been keeping tabs on Celtic’s best striker since Henrik Larsson all season and likes what he saw.
The Toon’s boss has held various video calls with his scouting team and money men, and Edouard has been named as Newcastle’s top target.
Celtic will do all they can to persuade the 22-year-old to forget English football and instead make history with the Hoops next season and clinch 10-in-a-row.
Edouard has scored 62 goals since joining from PSG on-loan then signing permanently for £9 million.
There will be a summer bidding war
There are many clubs that will be aiming to sign Edouard this summer with Lyon and Everton just to name a few.
The Celtic board will be tested with a massive bidding war that could easily see offers of £40 million eventually being tabled.
Hopefully, Lennon will have Odsonne next season and the board will surprise us all and reject ALL offers.
