As the Scottish Champions take another step closer to completing that historic quadruple treble by defeating Aberdeen 2-0 on Sunday, there’s one player that stands out and that must be the wonderful Nir Bitton.
The 29 year old has been apart of Celtic since 2013 when he signed from Ashdod, and since then Nir Bitton has always been there for the club whenever the manager has called upon.
He has been quoted many times in the past stating that he will play in any position that the club need him for, this man has truly been a loyal servant of the Hoops over the years.
There’s no denying that Neil Lennon had us worried going into that important Aberdeen game as we are without two key players such as Kris Ajer and Chris Jullien.
There were decisions to be made on who would gain a starting role at the back but in our minds Nir Bitton was always going to be that first choice starter as he looks solid and calm in that defensive role.
Some Hoops fans are going the lengths to say that Bitton is severely underrated at Celtic and should be starting nearly every game.
