Odsonne Edouard will not be moving to Leicester City after both clubs have failed to agree a transfer fee, the English club will now seek elsewhere for a new striker.
The 23 year old striker seemed eager to link up once again with his former manager Brendan Rodgers to whom he played his best football under at Celtic, it now seems likely that Celtic will now try and find another suitable buyer who can match their value for the highly rated goal machine.
The news was first revealed by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano who walks in the circles of those who know:
The English outfit will now spend their financial resources on striking a deal for Patson Daka of Salzburg, it could be seen as good news for Celtic and new boss Ange Postecoglou but only if they can convince Edouard to sign a new deal at the quadruple treble winners.
If no contract can be agreed then Celtic will have to try and find a new buyer for the Frenchman and use the profits to replace him with another player.
Do you think Odsonne Edouard will stay with Celtic for another season?
