Celtic fans took to Twitter to share their anger after learning about Jeremie Frimpong’s assist on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, Bayer Leverkusen fell victim to a 2-0 defeat against BSC Young Boys in the Round of 32 in the Europa League.
The Bundesliga team ended up behind 3-0, but with some inspired play found themselves back in the game.
All but one of Bayer Leverkusen’s goals came thanks to a tremendous assist from Frimpong during the first half.
Frimpong expertly whipped an inch-perfect cross onto the Czech Republic international’s head, he then walloped the ball home with aplomb.
It was his second assist of the season and the first he had since joining his new club.
