With the Ange Postecoglou revolution well underway at Celtic, there is a real buzz around the place, due to the Bhoys playing an exciting brand of football that has inspired the Parkhead support.

One man who has been integral to the Hoops this season has been Tom Rogic, who has flourished in the first half of the campaign with his creative intuition and goal threat.

However, there will be a cloud of uncertainty surrounding his long-term future at Celtic before too long. Currently speaking, his contract is due to expire in May 2023 which isn’t all that far away in the realms of football.

In the context of the last few months, it is fair to say the 28-year-old has exceeded most people’s expectations with his performances in 2021/22. Wrote off by many in Celtic circles as one of yesterday’s men, he has silenced the critics with a return of three goals and eight assists in 29 appearances this term.

Many factors have contributed to his upturn in form, including familiarity with Postecoglou’s way of working and his fitness going from strength to strength since pre-season. Moving forward, it is absolutely imperative that the Bhoys make him a key part of their plans for the foreseeable future and deal him in beyond 2023.
