Celtic should make a second attempt to loan Strahinja Pavlovic from French giants AS Monaco as a possible replacement for Kristoffer Ajer should the Norwegian leave Glasgow.
According to French outlet Le Foot, AS Monaco could loan Pavlovic out once again next season, after sending him straight back to Partizan Belgrade in January following a €10 million move.
This move would replicate the same switch Lennon had in mind last summer as Celtic tried to swoop for Pavlovic as rumours were circulating that Brendan Rodgers wanted to lure Ajer to England.
The move would make sense as both players have similar styles, Lennon won’t want to see Ajer leave but aslong as majority of the money is available to the Celtic manager as funds then it would ease the loss.
Pavlovic is only 18-years-old but the defender has a wealth of game-time under his belt, a loan move to a club like Celtic would benefit him further and in return, Celtic would have a proven defender plus money to spend.
