Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has announced that the Hoops Scottish contingent will not go abroad this month.

Instead, Steve Clarke’s regulars will play in the Sydney Super Cup in Australia.

The Bhoys’ domestic season will end next week when players go for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Most players will go to Australia for the Sydney Super Cup. Ange Postecoglou’s team will play Sydney FC and Everton in his country.

Greg Taylor, David Turnbull, and Anthony Ralston are now national team regulars. James Forrest’s revival might earn him an international call-up.

Ange Postecoglou said that all his eligible players will fly to Australia next week, thus no call-ups this international break.

The former Socceroos manager wants a strong roster, excluding World Cup players. He rules out Scottish talents joining their nation.

Celtic’s Scottish contingent might miss the journey down under as the Tartan Army prepare for a friendly encounter.

On November 16, Steve Clarke will unveil his newest team to play Turkey in a non-competitive match.

He stated:

“From our perspective, the Australian trip is an important part of our football club, and we want to take our strongest possible team there.

“We will always be supportive of the national team, and Steve Clarke has always been great with us in terms of his relationship with the club. But all of our players who won’t be going to the World Cup will be coming with us.

“We’re obviously taking a team to Australia. People have bought tickets and want to see the best possible Celtic side. Obviously, we can’t take the players who are going to the World Cup, but we have obligations there to the people who have spent the money that we go there with the strongest possible team, and that’s what we’ll be doing.”

Ange Postecoglou is very serious about the friendly games in Australia.

After coaching in Scotland and Japan for years, the Celtic manager will return to his country.
With the Australian national team, he won and became popular.

Aussie supporters know Ange’s managerial skills. However, the 57-year-old will want to show how he has improved as a manager with Celtic.

The Bhoys playing English Premier League teams should be entertaining.

Postecoglou has a good roster, excluding a few regulars. As we show Sydney supporters who we are, the Hoops should still be at their best.
