Packie Bonner has claimed that a massive clearout could be actioned within Celtic following our unlucky defeat against Rangers.
The current champions of Scotland have now found themselves 19 points behind rivals Rangers.
The former Celtic goalie has confessed that big changes could be on their way that includes a clearout of both players and managerial staff.
This pretty much places Neil Lennon and his current Hoops squad in a very difficult position as even if we win the next derby games we will still lose the league title.
The Celtic support and club would now need to pray that Steven Gerrard and his Rangers team drop more than a few points which doesn’t look likely.
Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland today (14:54), he said: “Celtic need to look to the future and they need to make a lot of changes.
“They may have to look very closely at the management and there are some players they have to move out quickly – some that have been brought in not too long ago.”
Bonner not happy and neither are we
Packie Bonner like many Celtic fans has had enough as we all could see the warning signs even when Lennon took over as manager.
This current squad are capable of causing opposition problems but fail to take key chances in front of goal.
At the end of the day, it’s goals that win matches and a good performance is only part of the job.
Some fans are still backing Neil Lennon as he selected the correct starting eleven, but there was no plan B and one thing we all know is, that during a Glasgow Derby there most likely will be a red card shown.
This match wasn’t the one that stopped 10 in a row, the previous defeats so early in the season completely hindered the club as we shouldn’t have been in this position.
We love Neil Lennon and he has his place amongst the Celtic greats for his contribution to the club as player and manager but something has to change if we are to move forward.
