Celtic have lodged their interest in signing Hadjuk Split left-back David Colina as Lennon aims to sign the highly rated defender to bolster his weaker side of the squad.
According to Croatian media outlet Index, the Hoops have made an offer of €3m (£2.7m) for Colina but have been told by Hadjuk Split that it would cost them €6m (£5.4m) to secure their players signature.
This kind of potential signing fits the profile of Celtic’s transfer policy as Colina is only 20 years old and Lennon could development him further as a player similar to Frimpong, also the Scottish Champions need another left-back option since the loss of Hayes to Aberdeen.
Lennon does still have Taylor and Bolingoli but we do need another choice just incase injuries start to kick in just like last season.
However, given that they’ve already spent on a new goalkeeper and are also in the market for a forward player, it remains to be seen if they’re willing to pay over £5m for the left-back.
