Vinko Marinovic has stated in a recent interview that his side could cause Celtic an upset and “everything is possible” as the SARAJEVO manager has his heart set on Europa League qualification.

Celtic will face the Champions of Bosnia in their Europa League play-off match as Neil Lennon and the gang aim to make it to the group stages.

Although the Hoops just managed to defeat Riga FC with many thanks to Elyounoussi as the Norwegian scored the winning goal, the team from Latvia proved tough to break down but what else can you expect from a very defensive side.

Celtic faced Sarajevo in the First Round of the Champions League last season with a 5-2 aggregate win for the Parkhead side. Neil Lennon will be hoping for a similar result next time but it seems we are facing a more encouraged side.

Marinovic said:

“This is a chance that comes along once in a generation.

“There was a massive amount at stake against Buducnost and I thought we showed some nerves, but the important thing is we managed to get through it. After so many years, we finally have a chance to make history.

“I didn’t even know we were playing Celtic in the next round until after the game. I never looked at it. I was only interested in this match.

“Celtic are a team that has a very special history and we are playing the team and the famous name. We will respect them to the maximum and I can assure you I will spend every minute preparing for the game now.

“It’s a one-off tie and anything and everything is possible.”

It won’t prove too easy, as Celtic are the side to beat if players want to put themselves in the shop window.

We can expect a few of the Bosnian’s to put up a fight and Celtic will have to get their heads together and work as a team to negotiate past this round.
