As we all know, Celtic fans are still waiting on the club announcing who will be taking over Neil Lennon’s vacant manager’s position, the role has been vacant since February.
As usual we have been linked with numerous potential managers that could be taking the helm at Celtic Park, these names have included some decent managers such as Frank Lampard and Rafael Benitez, but the main man that seems to be sticking is Eddie Howe.
As we know from various sources that Eddie Howe and Dermott Desmond both met each other in April, but the deal stalled over who would be coming onboard as the club’s new DOF.
Both of the men had different visions on who would be appointed as the new DOF and it seemed the deal was going sour.
However we can now report that a reliable reporter has confirmed that the deal is back on and Alan Nixon has stated that Howe has indeed agreed to become Celtic manager, all that is holding the deal up is the appointment of Eddie Howe’s backroom staff as they are still under contract at his former club Bournemouth.
When asked by a Hoops fan regarding what the hold up was, Nixon replied:
“Same thing. Coaches he wants tied in at Bournemouth right now.”
