Celtic will be tested in the summer with a £30 million offer for star player Odsonne Edouard from Leicester as Brendan Rodgers wants the Frenchman as Jamie Vardy’s replacement.

Celtic already know that Edouard will have plenty of clubs who will want to pay big money for his services, but the Celtic board and Neil Lennon have stated many times during this season that Edouard is not for sale.

Leicester won’t be the only club that will be tracking Edouard’s progress this season as Manchester United and Lyon are also admirers of Odsonne and Celtic need to be tough in this January transfer window and stand by their word.

Brendan will be hoping his previous relationship with the striker will persuade Edouard to follow the former Hoops manager to England, but Edouard should be aiming for a far bigger club than Leicester as he could easily lead the line for Europe’s Elite.
